The DMK Parliamentary Party met in New Delhi on August 11 and decided to raise issues related to Tamil Nadu in both Houses during the current Monsoon session. The meeting, which took place at Union Minister Thiru M K Alagiri’s residence, also discussed about the strategy to be followed by the party in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
The meeting presided by DMK Parliamentary Party leader Thiru T R Baalu was attended by Union Ministers among others. All MPs were of the opinion that issues related to the state and people of Tamil Nadu should be raised in Parliament. “The MPs said both question hour and zero hour should be used for raising issues related to the state,” they said. |
